The Final Coming

There is a God, the universal creator, and the opposing force to that God, a Satan, and they struggle constantly within the minds and emotions of human beings. In all of human history, our religion and philosophy and science have made no inroads towards resolving this most fundamental conflict.

God wants it over.

The Final Coming tells the story of that resolution, but from Satan’s point of view.

He is not a caricature, nor a human possessed. He is a person inhabited, and he has a plan to create a world where humans are corrupted beyond redemption.  They no longer see God as an option; all of their options have been created by Satan or by themselves. The manipulations begin with Satan as a fetus and end when the struggle is resolved.

The Final Coming is unique in its treatment of this ancient story in that the characters and their interactions are believably human. Satan as a human from child to adult can be charming and disarmingly funny, but his manipulations are manifested in acts that mirror contemporary political and religious discourse as well as the random violence that makes people question if “God is dead”. It is a story that could serve as an explanation for all that is happening in our world.
