Samuel Frandino graduated in 1977 from the State University of New York College at New Paltz with a degree in theatre design. He went on to work at the New York Shakespeare Festival and scene shops in Chicago and New York as a theatrical carpenter, and had a stint at trading stock options in the Chicago Board Options Exchange before turning to teaching in 1995. He taught for eight years in an interdisciplinary program for gifted children, wrote a dozen articles on using theatre, art and music as a gateway to academic disciplines and presented on that topic at a convention of the National Association for Gifted Children. He presently teaches art in the public school system. The Final Coming is his second novel, but the first to be published.
